Life Groups

LIFE GROUP LEADER

  • Be a member of GT [or pursuing membership], and have met all requirements of the life group leadership application and interview
  • Pray for, coordinate and plan regular life group meetings
  • Be a “life coach” to your life group members, helping to develop them into growing disciples and future leaders
  • Provide a supportive atmosphere in which life group members are able to discover and develop their spiritual gifts
  • Provide pastoral care to your group members by creating a supportive environment for struggle, change and decision, and by providing ongoing care and support for life circumstances
  • Identify and mentor assistant leaders in order to enable them to begin [birth] new groups

availability: 5 hours a week or bi-weekly

LIFE GROUP HOST HOME

  • Be a member of GT [or pursuing membership], and have met all requirements of the life group leadership application and interview
  • Pray regularly for your life group leader and for each member of your group
  • Provide a comfortable atmosphere in which to meet
  • Help coordinate all other aspects of a life group meeting, from providing snacks and coffee to maintaining an attendance log and report
  • Be prepared for group meetings with extra Bibles and pens, paper and other needs
  • Set an atmosphere of love and acceptance for everyone – regulars and guests

availability: 3 hours weekly or bi-weekly
