NURSERY DISMISSAL

  • Collect pager from parent
  • Match parent receipt to child tag
  • Take child and diaper bag from classroom to parent

STORY LEADER

SNACK LEADER

  • Attend huddle time at 8:30am or 10:30am
  • Set up snack & drinks before service begins
  • Welcome children at the door
  • Help small group leaders clean hands
  • Pray with the children
  • Interact with puppet character to explain the snack & the application to the story/theme
  • Review Bible verse and motions
  • Clean/reset tables with plates and cups between each rotation/wipe down/sweep after service

GAME/CRAFT LEADER

  • Attend huddle time at 8:30am or 10:30am
  • Welcome children at the door
  • Facilitate game/activity, relate it to Bible story/theme
  • Review Bible verse and motions
  • Clean up/reset games between rotations & after service

SMALL GROUP LEADER

  • Read through curriculum provided by small group coach
  • Attend huddle time at 8:30am or 10:30am
  • Greet children in your group when they arrive
  • Talk with children while completing opening activities
  • Assist children in lining up on the rope and lead them from room to room
  • Carry walkie-talkie for rotation announcements
  • Interact with children in each room
  • Assist in providing hand sanitizer to children in snack room
  • Assist creative learning room leaders, as needed
  • Participate in activities
  • Complete ending activities, including prayer time

SMALL GROUP COACH

  • Read through curriculum
  • Select activities from “Make it Fun” for start time
  • Select activities from “Make it Real” for end time [can also use activities from “make it fun”]
  • Prepare condensed curriculum sheet for each small group leader [SGL] with only the activities that will be used
  • Email copy of condensed sheet to each SGL volunteering that week
  • Prepare SGL bins & any other small group supplies
  • Pray for and with your SGL’s; encourage them [notes/kind words/birthday cards]
  • Schedule/coordinate SGL serving times
  • Arrive early [8:15am] to set up room with bins and activities
  • Participate in huddle time at 8:30 & 10:30am
  • Greet & check-in children to their small group
  • Serve as SGL substitute, when needed
  • Help runners at check-in/check-out, when available [allows you to meet parents]
  • Be available to serve during one service and the entire check-in/check-out time of other service
  • Meet w/preschool coaching team [first Sun./mo.]
  • Meet w/Crossroads leadership team, as needed
  • Attend weekend retreat once/year

CREATIVE LEARNING ROOM COACH

  • Read through curriculum
  • Select age-appropriate activities for your room [may need to be different for 2s vs. 5s]
  • Prepare supplies needed for that week for both services [enough for 4 classes/service]
  • Pray for and with your creative learning room leaders/helpers; encourage them [notes/kind words/birthday cards]
  • Coordinate room schedule for leaders/helpers
  • Arrive early to set up [approx. 8:15am]
  • Participate in huddle time at 8:30am or 10:30am
  • Serve as substitute when scheduled leader is unable to serve [illness, travel]
  • Help runners with check-in/check-out, as needed
  • Be available to serve during one service and check on/connect w/leaders during the other
  • Verify rooms are clean
  • Meet with preschool coaching team on the first Sunday of each month
  • Meet with the Crossroads leadership team, as needed

GREETER

  • Greet families as they arrive to check into class

DISMISSAL

  • Wear Crossroads apron
  • Ask parent for receipt tag and name & age of child
  • Go to assigned classroom; find child and match parent receipt with name tag
  • Take child and any take-home projects from classroom to parent
  • Return receipt to parent

ELEMENTARY

SMALL GROUP LEADER

Encourage spiritual growth through relationships with 8-10 children

  • Meet prior to the start of service for huddle time
  • Participate in pre-service activity time
  • Participate in large group worship and Bible story
  • Discuss how the day’s Bible story applies to their lives
  • Lead small group prayer time
  • Facilitate small group activities that pertain to the day’s lesson
  • Help dismiss children by matching child’s name tag with parent receipt

SMALL GROUP MATERIALS MANAGER

  • Organize supply bins for small group leaders
  • Gather and prepare supplies for small group activities

MASTER BIBLE STORYTELLER

Bring the Bible to life for the kids

  • Meet with creative service planning team on Wednesday evening prior to serving to review service order and request necessary props, costumes, multimedia, and to rehearse the Bible story

availability: Sunday mornings & Wednesday evenings [one time per month]

  • Sundays | during 9am & 11am services
  • Wednesday | 7:15pm – 8pm [meeting]

HOST

  • Act as “emcee” to capture the kids’ attention to prepare them for the Bible story
  • Communicate the three basic truths [Trust God No Matter What|Make the Wise Choice|Treat Others the Way They Want to Be Treated]

  • Sundays | during 9am & 11am services

BACKSTAGE MANAGER

  • Communicate with the production team in the weekly service planning meeting

NEW FAMILY TOUR GUIDE

Tour guides provide a first impression of GT & Crossroads

  • Greet & guide new families through the check-in process
  • Take family on a tour of the Kidzone to inform them of the drop-off & pick-up process; inform them of Guest Central
  • Introduce them to a Crossroads leader [preschool or elementary]
  • Take them to “Buddy’s” kidz cafe

“MAKE YOUR DAY” TEAM

  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere for new families in “Buddy’s” kidz cafe
  • Greet new families
  • Introduce new child to a child from Crossroads
  • Play intro dvd for new families to learn about Crossroads/have families fill out connect card
  • Direct parents to Worship Center

SPECIAL NEEDS

  • Provide one-on-one care for a child with special needs
