Frequently Asked Questions

What are your services like?

Our weekend services are designed to be powerful and inspiring. Each service runs approximately 75 minutes. Our music is upbeat and engaging. Our messages are Biblical, relevant and sometimes very entertaining. We talk about the real things you face every day and seek to connect God’s wisdom and Word to your life. We also believe that church should be one of the most enjoyable experiences you have during the week, so feel free to laugh! You can also check out our services live online on our homepage during service times or rebroadcast times.

What time should I get there?

We recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service. This is especially important if you have children. Checking-in children to their age-appropriate environments takes a couple of extra minutes. To make things easier for you, stop by New Family Check-in located in the Atrium by the Worship Center entrance. Also, feel free to stop by our café for a great cup of coffee before the service.

Is childcare provided?

Crossroads Kidz Ministry [birth-5th grade] is provided for all weekend services. Real Life Student Ministry [grades 6-12] holds a service at 11 a.m. on Sundays.

What should I do with my kids the first time I attend?

If you are bringing a child [birth-5th grade], please stop by our New Family Check-in area, located on your left once you enter the main Worship Center doors. This area is staffed with volunteers who will give you a brief tour of our facility and provide you with all the information you need to know about our Kidz Ministry. If you are bringing a student [grades 6-12] to the 11 a.m. Real Life service, you can enter the doors marked “NextGen Center” and stop by the information desk for everything you need.

What happens when I visit your church?

First of all, we want you to feel welcome. When you visit GT, you will not be put on the spot in any way. Whether you are seeking a new church home, or simply desiring to know more about who Jesus is, you should feel like you are among family.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. God is clear in His Word that He does not look on the outward appearance but rather into the heart of a person. The dress and atmosphere at GT tends to be casual. Wear jeans. Wear a tie. It’s your decision. We want you to be comfortable.

What kind of church is this?

Glad Tidings is an Assemblies of God church. If you want to learn more about our beliefs as a church, click here.

Is there something for everyone in my family?

Yes! We encourage you to explore this web site to learn more about our ministries for children, teens, young adults, adults and seniors.

Do you have small groups?

We believe that lives are changed in the context of community. Because of that, we offer life groups. These groups of 12-15 people meet on a regular schedule in relaxing environments all over our community [most meet in homes]. The Bible is discussed, friendships are made, and lives are changed. Click here for more info.

How do I get involved?

Everyone has gifts and talents. Those abilities have been given for the purpose of serving others. There are volunteer opportunities all over GT. Joining a volunteer team is a great way to meet people and contribute to the mission of this church. Click here for more info.

What do you believe about baptism and communion?

We encourage all followers of Jesus to experience baptism. Periodically, we offer a baptism class for people interested in being baptized during one of our services. We baptize by immersion because that was Jesus’ model of baptism. Baptism is not salvation. It is a symbol of the new life that Jesus brings about in the lives of His believers.

We believe communion is also a symbol. It symbolizes the body of Jesus that was sacrificed for us. We observe this ordinance throughout the year during our weekend services.

Check out the Our Beliefs section on our site for further information on beliefs and doctrine.

Giving | Offering

A weekly offering/collection is taken during our weekend services. These financial gifts enable this church to fulfill the mission and vision God has given it. We believe in scriptural tithing [giving 10% back to God] as an opportunity to outwardly express our gratitude to God and acknowledge our role as stewards of everything we’ve been given. However, we encourage all of our first-time visitors to give as they feel led. You are our guest. So just sit back, open your hearts, and enjoy the service!

Online giving is also available. Click here for more information.
