Lorena Keely
(this is a picture of my new nephew)
/files/Singles Ministry/lorena.JPGLorena Patricia Keely has been a member of GT since ‘02.  She has served on the OP Leadership Team for over 5 years.  She is also thrilled to be involved in the writing and production of GT’s annual Extreme VBS Program – beginning with “The Big Picture” in ‘05.  Lorena also gladly volunteers with the GT technical team under Brady Treat.  Pastor Bryan recently challenged Lorena in her spiritual growth by asking her to write a weekly on-line Bible Study tool for the church’s website.  In November ‘07, through the encouragement of Pastor CJ Ortega, Lorena submitted a devotional entry for the book God Stories Three and it was published!!
A 1985 graduate of Houghton College; Lorena lives and works in Reading.  Lorena loves being involved in Small Groups/Bible Studies and teaching Aquacise at LA Fitness.  She is also a voracious reader.  She has been blessed to have been a part of the OP/4D team ministering at the New York School of Urban Ministry three times, so far, and experienced a life-changing opportunity when she accompanied a team from GT to be a Samaritan’s Purse volunteer with the Hurricane Katrina clean-up effort in Waveland, Mississippi in January ‘06.   Lorena often thinks of what Pastor Rodney Murphy once said to her:  “Getting saved is the easy part – growing and maturing in your walk is a bit harder, but so very much worth it.”  Lorena would like to thank Pastor Bryan, Dr. Ron Hall, Pastor CJ, Pastor Greg Hubbard and Pastor Scott for their influence in her life.  She is eternally grateful for her godly parents and their faithful prayers over her.
Lorena is praying and trusting the Lord for a fellow, fully-devoted Christ follower in the God-given gift of a husband - whom she very much looks forward to standing beside in faithful service to the Lord.  (Note that Lorena is also an excellent cook!!!)

I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and for the good of their children after them.”

OP Leader: Paul Terifay:

I have been a Christian all my life however that has only allowed me to question my faith. The Christian walk of faith is not always a happily ever after. It’s a learning process that not only draws us nearer to Christ but also to be more like Christ. I feel that Christ has put me in a place to ministry to our church singles. I fee through my own personal struggles I have come to a point of pure joy in Christ. I love sharing this joy with the group and that singleness doesn’t have to mean loneliness. It is a chance to grow closer to Christ and experience His friendship and love.
