GLAD TIDINGS’ ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING 
THIS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 7 P.M.

Plan on joining us for the 84th Annual Business Meeting to be held in the Worship Center on this Wednesday, March 10th starting at 7:00 p.m.  The evening will include:  Vision Casting and  Election of the 2010 Deacon Board.  The evening’s business will include a resolution to consider the amendment of the By-Laws/Article I – Duties of Officers/Section 5 – The Treasurer.  If interested, members may receive a copy of the proposed amendment at the Guest Services Desk for review prior to the business meeting.   Everyone is encouraged to attend.  (Please Note:  Glad Tidings’ members will be eligible to vote.)
If you are a member or regular Glad Tidings attendee, please stop by the booth in the Atrium to pick up your Vision Packet.  Please also bring your the packet to the meeting on Wednesday.


GROWING TOGETHER STEWARDSHIP DEVOTIONALS

Last weekend we provided our church family with a 21-day stewardship devotion.  If you did not receive one, please stop by the Guest Services desk today after the service and you can pick up a copy.



COMING TO GT THIS SPRING- THE BATTLE
– a musical presentation about the spiritual warfare that takes place around us everyday
The leads have been cast, the choir is practicing, the script has been finalized.  What is missing?  YOU.  Becoming a part of the musical crew is a great way to minister for the Lord, as well as, to get to know members of our church family. There is a place for everyone.  Areas of ministry include:  costuming, greeting, stage crew, set construction, set design, prop coordination, parking, make up, and serving meals to the cast.  If you are interested in learning more about how you can serve, contact the church office at 610-678-0266 or email debbube@gtaog.org.


LAKESIDE CHRISTIAN EARLY LEARNING CENTER OPEN HOUSE—SAT., MARCH 6, 10 A.M.-NOON

If you or someone you know is looking for a preschool, we encourage you to check out Lakeside, which is located right inside Glad Tidings.  Lakeside ELC offers classes for children ages 3-5.  Come to the open house on March, contact Kimberley Dickerson, director, at 610.678.0266 x 220 or stop by the Lakeside booth in the Atrium after the service today for more information.


DIVORCE RESOURCE SEMINAR -  THIS TUESDAY, MARCH 9 @ 7PM IN ROOM 202

The Berks Divorce Resource Council is a group of concerned professionals joined together to help individuals navigate the divorce process more carefully from a financial perspective.  With a panel of experts including a mortgage banker, Realtor, certified public accountant, licensed financial advisor, insurance agent, and an attorney, the Berks Divorce Resource Council has access to the most current trends and guidelines regarding divorce.  Aiming yourself with knowledge is often the best first step in trying to achieve a fair outcome.  By attempting to anticipate problems ahead of time, you may avoid serious financial issues.  Good, proactive advice throughout the entire process can protect you and your family.  These seminars will cover the following:  Organizing your finances, Protecting your assets, Managing your credit, Understanding financial risks, Minimizing the tax impact.


 

 

IRON SHARPENS IRON MEN’S CONFERENCE
SATURDAY, MARCH 13 @ LANCASTER BIBLE COLLEGE

For Men 13 and Older.   Starting at $39 per man.  16 Different Breakout Seminars Specific To Men Of All Ages and Stages.  (topics include marriage, money, fatherhood, men’s ministry training, teen issues (ages 13-18), sexual integrity, etc.)  The Conference goes from 8:30am-4:55pm and also includes two great keynote speakers: author Gene Getz and nationally recognized speaker Bob Reccord.  Don’t miss this great opportunity to grow and connect with other men!  Sign up in the Atrium at the Life Groups Booth or call the church office for more info.



YOUTH CONVENTION - April 1st - 3rd at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA. 

Students grades 6th-12th can sign up now at the booth in the Atrium or at the info desk in the NextGen Center.  Details will be available when you sign up or you can contact the Real Life office at 610.678.0266 x228.


NEW LEADER ORIENTATION  -  Sunday, March 21 @ 1pm If you are interested in learning about what it means to be a Life Group Leader here at GT, please plan to join us on Sunday, March 21 @ 1pm for our Orientation in room 114.  Attending this Orientation does not commit you to anything; it is simply designed to help you learn about our vision for Life Groups and the steps involved in becoming a Leader.  This is a great step for you if you are already in a Life Group and have considered becoming a co-leader or beginning your own Group!  Sign up by calling the church office at 610.678.0266 and letting Sara J. know you would like to attend.  Lunch and childcare are provided!


YOUNG ADULT MISSIONS TEAM TO UGANDA  (not limited to young adults)

We wanted to invite you to join us on the first ever Young Adult Missions Team. We are heading to Uganda in July, and would love to have you join us!!  This may be the perfect time for you to take that step of faith and go on your first-ever overseas trip.  Or, if you’ve been on one before, join us for another great Kingdom adventure!  There is no limit to how large our team can be, so contact Pastor Scott Kramer for more information at 610.678.0266 ext. 218 or scottkramer@gtaog.org.Here are some specifics of the trip to help you as you prayerfully consider partnering with us and the Shipleys in reaching Uganda:

Trip Dates:  Departing early Thursday morning, July 22 - Returning late Wednesday evening, August 4

Trip Cost:  The cost is dependent on airfare pricing, but will likely range somewhere between $2500-$3000.  We can help you with raising support!!

Deadline to sign up:  We would like to have an answer from you by Monday, March 8 if you are joining us.  We will need a $150 deposit for the airfare by Friday, March 12.  I realize these dates are not far away, but it is important to move quickly now in order to secure cheaper airfare.

Could there be a better opportunity to go on an African Missions Trip than with other Young Adults from GT??  Please email me if you are at all interested, and we can alert you with all the important information.  

FYI, this trip is not limited to Young Adults.

GT SPRING MUSICAL & DINNER: SUN., APRIL 18 @ 4PM
Come and join us as we attend the 4pm show of the Spring Musical show "The Battle".  Afterwards, we plan on going out to eat dinner at a local restaurant.  Bring money for dinner.
 
NEW YORKC CITY DAY TRIP:  SAT., MAY 1 @ 7AM
Come and enjoy a day on your own in NYC.  Attend a show, eat, do some shopping or just spend the day sightseeing.  We plan on leaving GT at 7am sharp.   We will leave NYC after dinner, sometime around 7pm.  Sign up in class or by using the gray envelopes.  Cost: $5.00 for gas, tolls and parking.  Bring money for food.
 
PHILLY ITALIAN MARKET FESTIVAL: SAT., MAY 15 @ 9AM
We will leave GT at 9am and will spend the day shopping and eating at the Italian Market, South Street and Reading Terminal Market.  We will leave Philly after dinner, sometime around 7pm.  Sign up in class or by using the gray envelopes.  Cost $5.00 for gas and parking.  Bring money for food.
 
MEMORIAL DAY PICNIC AT THE PARK: SUN., MAY 30 @1PM
Picnic at Tuscarora State Park.  Enjoy the afternoon by the lake, hiking or just relaxing at this beautiful state park.  Leaving GT after 11am service (somewhere around 1pm).  Cost: $5.00 for gas.  Bring your own picnic meal and a snack to share.  More details to follow....
